Field Trips

It is our desire to educate children of all ages about agriculture.  In  an  ever-changing  world, it’s important to understand and appreciate how our food supply exists.

We have developed “Ag-tainment” programs to share with the community, showing that Agricultural education is fun!  Each season over 1,800 children, parents and teachers learn about local farming through these experiences.

Field trips are available in Spring & Fall for groups up to 100 people.  The trips include the hayride farm tour,  farm-related craft activity, fresh snack from our farm, and coloring book & goodies to take home (we can also customize a trip for your students' needs).

To schedule a field trip, please call Michelle at 410-742-8845 or email:  michelle@wrightsmarket.com.

Don't miss this very popular opportunity to help our children learn about agriculture!

SCHOOL, HOME-SCHOOL, DAY CARE AND DAY CAMP GROUPS ARE WELCOME ALL SEASON (Fall) LONG!

Guided Farm Hayride & Tour

This 25-minute tour over a 65-acre area of our farm is a wonderful experience.  The tour guide (many times Farmer Wright himself!) explains the various uses of farm equipment & buildings and provides specifics about the planting, growing and harvesting of our crops.  Offered  on Fall weekends only.

Available with scheduled field trips and during our Fall Harvest Weekend, Oct. 11-12th for family fun.

Educational Corn Maze

A fun opportunity to learn about life on the farm! As you stroll through the 7-acre maze (about a 3/4 mile walk) the way out is revealed by answering farm & agriculture questions along the way…you never know where the wrong answer will lead you! The questions are prepared for several age levels, so that everyone can participate! Older kids will also enjoy the rope maze, and the younger children can wind their way through the pumpkin maze!

Available with scheduled field trips in the fall and all weekends in October for family enjoyment.
